Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies and storage Movsight uses in your browser. Our use is based on Germany’s TDDDG §25, the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC Art. 5(3)), the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK. We use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.
1. What are cookies and device storage?
Cookies and browser storage such as “localStorage” let a website keep small pieces of information on your device. Storage that is strictly necessary for a service may be used without consent (TDDDG §25(2)). Everything else needs your consent (TDDDG §25(1); KVKK Art. 5(1)).

3. Third-party connections
Fonts are served from our own server and film images are relayed through our server, so browsing our pages does not connect your browser to Google Fonts or TMDB.
Your browser connects directly only to the following services:
- Supabase (*.supabase.co): when you sign in, sign up, save a journal entry or upload a profile photo. Supabase is our data processor that operates your account and data on our behalf (see the Privacy Policy). This connection is necessary for the service; only the strictly necessary session cookies above are stored on your device.
- Google: only if you click “Continue with Google”, you are redirected to Google’s sign-in page.
- YouTube: only with your consent, when a trailer loads.
4. Managing your choices
You choose your preferences on your first visit. You can change your decision or withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we delete the related data from your device.
Without consent you can still open a single trailer; you are then asked to agree for that video only.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
